After a long 13-hour day of birding during BWIAB, I made my way to an earlier discovered whip-poor-will location at 8:30pm and waited for the cute nightjar to make a move, preparing to get ready for night hunting. After a little while, the little guy started shaking out his feathers and yawning. I was able to capture him mid-yawn shortly before taking flight.
